Expatclic.com: a real multicultural exchange, a lively and united community, a network of support and sharing all over the world.
A chance e-meeting between the United Arab Emirates and Peru, between a Frenchwoman, Marie, and an Italian, Claudia, and voilà, a wonderful project was born: to offer the possibility to all women who are living in a foreign country, whatever their language may be, to get together and exchange their views, their ideas, their fears and joys. Here, we put the emphasis on languages and not on nationalities. Because French is not only spoken in France but also in Belgium, Switzerland, Quebec, parts of Africa and even further afield. English is, of course, even more widely used and understood. It is a common language that allows us to communicate and to learn from one another so that we may widen our horizons and our view of the world. We therefore invite you to break out of your national barriers and create links to other women worldwide who speak the same language as you. Let’s broaden our visions of the world! A truly international website that continues to grow, both in the number of visitors and in the variety of articles. Backed by a motivated team that works incessantly to make ExpatClic.com better every day, editing first-hand accounts and up-to-date information to help you with your next international move. Do you want ExpatClic.com to continue in this direction? If your answer is yes, we welcome your help. ExpatClic.com is a non-profit association. Our team members work (a lot) on a voluntary basis. They do so because they are motivated by a genuine passion for life abroad and they want to help other women (and men !) to have good expatriation experiences. They do so to promote a more intercultural way of thinking, to invite everyone to learn to respect new cultures, ways of living, thinking, and acting. But a web site such as ExpatClic.com is very expensive. Every month we must pay the web space, which needs to be bigger and bigger in order to host the growing number of articles that we publish. Every year we must renew our domain.com, and that costs money too. We need an expert who can help us fix the technical problems with the site, and nowadays no one does anything for free. No one but ExpatClic.com, of course ! ExpatClic.com is 100% free - you can leave messages in the forums, read and print our articles freely, contact our team members who are always ready to give you a hand, some support, a word of encouragement. And we want ExpatClic.com to continue this way, as a free and open space to everyone. With a little bit of help, we can. ExpatClic.com makes you and us happy: you can sit with your coffee, wherever you are in the world, in front of the computer screen and read about women who have your same problems and share your same experiences; you can ask for information, and you can express your creativity by writing an article that you’ll see published in the next up-dating; you can compare your experience with similar ones set in completely different cultural contexts. We have a real passion in working to offer you a site that improves every day, in writing articles, in looking for new ideas, in interviewing and meeting interesting people... So, in order to continue this beautiful adventure, we need your help..... yes, we need your donations!! How much can you donate ?You can donate as much as you want from 10 euro upwards. A small, medium, big donation...everything helps! How can you donate ?You can donate to ExpatClic.com through PayPal (clicking on the button on the left menu). Paypal is a system that was developed by Ebay to facilitate payments on their web site of bid sales. Anyone with a Visa or Mastercard card can open a Paypal account and make a payment through the Internet in an absolutely secure way. You are not obliged to open a Paypal account if you donate only once. All you need is your credit card number and the last three digits on the back of your card. You can donate in Euros, US Dollars, Canadian Dollars, or British Pounds. All other currencies will be automatically converted into one of the above. When you indicate the sum that you wish to donate, you are directed to a page that asks you to select your credit card country, and then will switch to the language of the indicated country. Are you afraid of donating through the Internet?
