Dear Expatclic friends worldwide,
As you can see, we’re really getting a taste for this! This will be our third photo competition open to expatriate women of all nationalities living all over the world. With it, we’d like to offer you the opportunity to share your creativity and showcase your experiences abroad.
This time, our theme will be ‘My Favourite Spot in my Host Country.’
We invite you to think about the places in your city or country which fill you with energy, or emotion, which make your life rich and intense, which have a special meaning for you.
We’re not looking for photos of spectacular beaches or majestic monuments for this photo competition: even an obscure, unknown niche will qualify, as long as it’s important to you.
It may be a bar, a street, a shop, a church, a bridge, a garden, a cemetery… try to identify a place that draws you back again and again, somewhere which would merit a special goodbye if you were ever to leave your host country.
That’s the sort of place we would like to discover in your photos. As usual, we will select three winners from the photos we receive. The 12 best ones will make up our next Expatclic calendar.
And this year we have something new for you! You get to choose your prize! We thought long and hard about how to best recognise your participation in the competition. We are offering a choice of three first, second and third prizes. The winner can choose which one suits her best.
We look forward to hearing from you. Before you send your photos, please read the rules carefully! They give you details as to the format, and the number of photos you can send. Sticking to the rules will save you and our team a lot of time.
